Red Light Therapy
What is Red Light Therapy?
One of the therapies in our Redox Room, Red light therapy (RLT), also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation (PBM), is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared (NIR) light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular function. This process enhances energy production in the mitochondria, promoting healing, reducing inflammation, and improving overall wellness.
How Everyone Benefits
Who Benefits from Red Light Therapy?
Red light therapy works at the cellular level—enhancing mitochondrial function and boosting your body’s natural energy production. Because of this, nearly everyone can benefit. From athletes seeking faster recovery, to individuals managing chronic pain, fatigue, or inflammation, to anyone simply looking to support healthier skin, deeper sleep, or improved mood—red light therapy offers a gentle, non-invasive way to boost cellular energy, and restore balance and vitality from the inside out.

Red Light Therapy is part of our Redox Room experience—a 30-minute private session that includes access to red light, cold plunge, and Power Plate®. Rather than booking red light on its own, you’ll book time in the Redox Room and move through any combination of the therapies that best support your body in the moment.

How it Works: A Quantum Approach to Cellular Energy
Â
At the heart of red and near-infrared light therapy lies the mitochondria—your cells’ powerhouses—and the key to optimizing how your body heals, performs, and thrives. Through the lens of quantum biology, we understand that cells communicate and respond to frequencies. Specific wavelengths of light—particularly in the 600 to 1000 nanometer range—hold the precise resonance to interact with a mitochondrial enzyme called cytochrome c oxidase.
This interaction is both elegant and powerful. When these wavelengths reach your cells, they displace nitric oxide from cytochrome c oxidase, a process that removes blockages in the electron transport chain. This clears the way for oxygen to bind more efficiently, allowing your mitochondria to generate more ATP—the pure energy currency of your body.
But this energy doesn’t stay confined at the cellular level. It radiates outward. As ATP levels rise, your body enters a state of energetic efficiency and the benefits of extra energy are far reaching:

Benefits of Red Light Therapy
Â
With extra cellular energy available, a wide range of health benefits are seen including reduced inflammation, improved skin appearance, and faster tissue healing. It stimulates collagen production, enhances circulation, and supports pain relief by promoting cellular regeneration. This non-invasive therapy is ideal for improving skin health, accelerating recovery, and boosting overall wellness.
Muscles recover faster. Inflammation decreases. Tissue repair accelerates. Mental clarity sharpens. Hormonal balance is supported. Skin glows with vitality.
Red light therapy doesn’t force healing—it reminds your body how to do what it’s designed to do, naturally and intelligently. It’s not just about more energy—it’s about better energy, and how light can orchestrate harmony across your entire system.
Improved Circulation & Cellular Energy:
- Â Red and Infared light frequencies are absorbed by a crucial enzyme in the mitochondria that support cellular respiration.Â
- Â Boosts ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production, increasing cellular energy and performance
- Â Enhances blood flow to tissues, supporting oxygen and nutrient delivery.
Skin Health & Anti-Aging
- Â Stimulates collagen production, improving skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles.
- Â Enhances cellular repair and regeneration, leading to a more youthful appearance.
- Â Reduces fine lines, age spots, and sun damage by promoting even skin tone.
- Â Helps with acne and blemishes by reducing inflammation and promoting skin healing.
Pain Relief & Muscle Recovery:
- Â Decreases inflammation and joint pain, making it beneficial for conditions like arthritis.
- Â Accelerates muscle recovery by reducing oxidative stress and enhancing circulation.
- Â Aids in injury healing, including strains, sprains, and muscle soreness.
- Â
Mental Clarity & Cognitive Function:
- Â May help improve focus and memory by increasing brain cell energy production.
-  Supports neuroprotection, potentially benefiting conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
- Â Reduces stress and anxiety by balancing neurotransmitter activity.
Immune System Boost:
-  Stimulates white blood cell production, improving the body’s defense against infections.
- Â Reduces chronic inflammation, which is linked to various diseases.
Sleep & Hormonal Balance:
- Â Helps regulate melatonin production, promoting deeper, more restorative sleep.
- Â Supports thyroid function, aiding those with hypothyroidism or metabolic imbalances.
